With the introduction of the EnviroStation™ in August 2001, UPI became the first energy marketer in Canada to utilize above ground fuel storage technology in the construction of a retail gasoline outlet. EnviroStation's™ unique design allows for constant visual and electronic monitoring of fuel inventories to guard against potentially harmful spills. In addition, the EnviroStation™ is equipped with state of the art “vapour recovery” technology, which is utilized to minimize the emission of pollutants while fuels are being off-loaded into storage tanks.
